Biography
Dr. Jung has received his B.S. from UT Dallas in Electrical and Computer Engineering with Summa Cum Laude in 2010. He briefly worked at Hyundai Motors as an Engineering Researcher in South Korea. Then, he started his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Yale in 2011 and has received his Ph.D. degree in 2016 under supervision of Prof. Minjoo Larry Lee. During his Ph.D. he worked on molecular beam epitaxy growths of nanostructures for metamorphic mid-infrared lasers and solar cells. He currently works with John Bowers and Art Gossard to develop high efficiency InAs quantum dot lasers on Si for photonic integrated circuits.
